ABOUT YELLOW LEAF WEAVERS
The Mlabri and other small hill tribes are among the most disadvantaged groups in Southeast Asia. They are listed among the UNESCO “Endangered Languages” with only 300 members left in the world. Traditionally a reclusive hunter-gatherer society, the Mlabri, were decimated when their forest home was lost to a global demand for teak and an onslaught of chemical slash & burn farming.  The Mlabri were left impoverished and forced into indentured servitude as laborers in toxic agriculture fields- the only regional economy. Turning their artisan talents to weaving hammocks broke the cycle of devastation and has been the key to developing a stable micro-economy in the community. As weaving work has spread to regional tribes, it has been embraced as an opportunity to earn a stable income and combat social inequity without resorting to environmental destruction or abandoning their cultural identity.

Yellow Leaf Hammocks are 100% handwoven, customizable hammocks that offer supreme comfort, strength and durability to customers- along with a commitment to cultivating a sustainable economic opportunity for marginalized and impoverished ethnic groups.

An anti-cellulite machine that really works - Forever Young introduces the Accent XL

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 21, 2011 – It's the latest innovation in non-invasive cellulite reduction, and Forever Young is making it available on a first-come first-serve basis for customers who want to get rid of their cellulite.

As featured on the TV show The Doctors, the Accent XL is proven technology that works quickly and easily to remove cellulite, lumps, and bumps!

The Accent is a unique, multiapplication, Radio Frequency (RF) based platform for the non-invasive treatment of wrinkles, rhytids, and reduction in the appearance of cellulite.

So how does the Accent XL work? According to company literature on the unit, “The B-Shape combines Alma Laser’s high-energy, radio-frequency (RF) technology with customized Unipolar massager to offer a state-of-the-art cellulite treatment. The B-Shape hand piece has been proven clinically effective in improving the appearance of cellulite, body contouring, and thigh slimming.”

Specifically, the Accent works through a deep heat which reaches to the fat cells, causing the connective tissue to contract. As this contraction of collagen fibers takes place, there is a firming and improvement in laxity of the tissues, as well as improved blood and lymphatic circulation.

The process improves the skin's external architecture, leaving a smoother, more beautiful natural appearance.

A Forever Young medical professional explains, "We're excited about this new technology and have witnessed incredible results with it. Because of the high demand, the Accent can be purchased as an add-on to existing packages, or as a stand-alone package. "

This new treatment is available now at Forever Young Oregon. Contact the company for details or visit ForeverYoungOregon.com.

Forever Young is the premiere Laser Medical Spa & Surgery Center in the Portland metro area. We offer Fat Transfers, CoolLipo (laser-assisted lipolysis), Velashape, the new Soprano XL painless Laser Hair Removal, Botox, Juvederm, LED light therapy, & more

El's Kitchen introduces a new line of Gluten-Free Snacks

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 22, 2011 – El’s Kitchen is proud to introduce two new gluten-free snacks: Medleys, a zesty snack mix, and Bagel Snaps, the only gluten-free bagel chip on the market.

Medleys and Bagel Snaps have no gluten, dairy products, nuts, eggs, trans-fats, hydrogenated oil, high fructose corn syrup, preservatives, artificial flavors, or cholesterol.  Using only the best ingredients available, El’s makes great tasting snacks.

El’s set out to produce a unique gluten free snack mix, one that could be enjoyed both by those with celiac or gluten issues, as well as by the general population.  Many different permutations were sampled when creating the mix, in the hopes of finding a chip or crisp that complemented other ingredients.  There was nothing commercially available that met El’s exacting standards or had the right flavor and crunch.  That’s when the idea was born to manufacture a bagel chip to include in the snack mix.

El’s takes gluten free flours, some canola oil, yeast and water and creates hand-made Bagels.  But it’s El’s own spice blend that gives them that extra kick.  And it’s the way they’re sliced and baked that gives Bagel Snaps their distinctive crunch.  They’re so good they deserved to be sold on their own.

The Snaps are also mixed up with some other good things: potato chips, corn chips, pretzels, and corn nuts.  Stir all those up with more of El’s zesty spice blend in a great tasting sauce, bake it all together and Medleys Snack Mix is the result.

Snaps are available in three-ounce and handy one-ounce grab-and-go bags, and Medleys retail in five-ounce and single serve two-ounce bags.

Breathe N Flow Yoga introduces Yin Yoga: The ideal balance between strengthening and lengthening.

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 13, 2011 – Breathe N Flow Yoga studio held their first Yin Yoga class Saturday, June 25th, with plans to permanently implement this new practice of Yoga into their daily scheduled classes. Breathe N Flow Yoga studio was very excited to introduce this new class, and they are proud to be the pioneers of Yin Yoga on Long Island, being one of the first studios here on the island to offer this particular style of Yoga.

What is Yin Yoga?  Yin Yoga is a quiet, inward focused practice that affects the flow of energy through the body. Yin Yoga has the same goals and objectives as any other school of yoga; however, it directs the stimulation normally created in the asana portion of the practice deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues (which are called the yang tissues). Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice.

Yin Yoga is suitable for all levels of students, and is a perfect complement to other styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.  While initially this style of yoga can seem quite boring, passive, or soft, Yin Yoga practice can be quite challenging due to the long duration of the poses. One can remain in the postures anywhere from five to twenty minutes! Yin and yang tissues respond quite differently to being exercised. You need to experience this to really know what Yin Yoga is all about. After you have experienced it, even just once, you will realize that you have been doing only half of the asana practice.

Breathe N Flow Yoga studio is proud to pave the way for Yin Yoga practice on Long Island. Breathe N Flow Yoga studio is known for their Vinyasa Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, and Kids Yoga in Nassau county; yet they continue to make strides to impact yoga practitioners from all counties.  Owner and head Yogini, Leah Hartofelis received her Yin Yoga certification from Corina Benner of Wake up Yoga at Om Yoga Center in New York City. From there, Leah was able to translate her experience directly to Breathe N Flow Yoga students and staff.

“The training for Yin Yoga was so inspirational; it not only enhanced my teaching style but enlightened me mentally and physically, I am thrilled to be able to take my students to the next level with Yin Yoga.” said Leah.

Yin Yoga focuses on deep stretching movements that can enhance your body’s wide range of motion and build flexibility. Yin Yoga is a healthy way to build and or regain flexibility through the process of rejuvenating and strengthening your body’s muscles and joints. The classes will be offered Thursday evenings at 7:15 and Saturday mornings at 9 at the peaceful family yoga studio located in Freeport, NY.

Yin Yoga improves the body in many different ways.  Yin Yoga helps regulate energy levels (chi) and will leave you feeling calm and balanced, with lower stress levels and greater stamina.  Yin Yoga helps to combat the effects of aging such as rigidness of joints and muscles and decrease in flexibility. By utilizing the effects of gravity, Yin Yoga naturally induces stretching and lengthening.    You will also find improved meditation and deeper relaxation.

Some Breathe N Flow Yoga students have already had the chance to experience this unique class, and have been instantly drawn to the remarkable results, both emotionally and physically. One Breathe N Flow Yoga student was eager to expand his practice and provide personal feedback. The student openly expressed great enthusiasm about the Yin Yoga class and described his experience with the studio.

“I really enjoyed this new class, I have never tried Yin Yoga before and I like the passive style of the practice, in comparison to the high energy class I am accustomed to. Overall I’d say it is an A+ get loose workout!” said Don S.

Breathe N Flow Yoga is a family owned and run studio and was established in August 2010. From its respectful beginning the studio has been aimed at being the first family oriented yoga studio -1241008838  on Long Island that offers classes to everyone at the convenience of the student and their family. Breathe N Flow Yoga studio is constantly growing with dedicated staff, students, and instructors, that all uniquely add a very personal flare to their teaching.  Breathe N Flow Yoga studio’s vision is to offer Yoga to the community while creating an environment that is welcoming to everyone. Through Yoga, Breathe N Flow Yoga believes you find peace, joy, and balance in your life.
