Schlebusch operated and managed the very first Panarottis Pizza Pasta food chain to come to Australia, in the Panther’s Leagues Club, over a decade ago. After a successful tenure with Panarottis, Schlebusch sold his share in the company to move onto other ventures, but he has now returned to where it all began.
“In June of this year I opened a brand new Hooters franchise in Penrith and it feels amazing to be back in an area I know very well and love. The people and the community have the same wonderful welcoming feel as it did ten years ago, but the area has grown financially in an incredible manner and I can only see the economic growth getter stronger here,” said Morney Schlebusch, COO, Hooters Restaurants Australia.
“There are around 170,000 people in the Penrith area and we look forward to providing them with a new experience, together with our fun service and great food. It’s been great to be able to give back to the community also, by creating jobs- from building the stunning new restaurant, to all Hooters Girls and chefs- and making it truly the restaurant of the Penrith people,” Schlebusch said.
Hooters at Penrith has only been open for three months and has already been a major hit with the local area. It prides itself as a local neighbourhood restaurant with fantastic service and a fun and friendly environment.
Morney, who has over 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, has perfected the food as well. With not only a sizzling menu packed with steaks, ribs, and burgers, Hooters has great value for money. Schlebusch is a family man and has four children himself, so has ensured the menu is tailor made to suit younger diners also.
Along with the expansion of Hooters in Penrith, Hooters will be opening a new store in Campbelltown in November and another store in Surfers Paradise, such is the growing success of the brand.
Hooters Penrith is located just off the M4 Freeway and right next door to the Grey Gums Hotel. Whether you want a quiet dinner, you’re making plans for Christmas parties or you just want a unique night out with friends, everything is covered for you at Hooters Penrith.
“I see so many familiar faces from the old days and now I can focus on re-establishing those relationships from before, in our newest establishment Hooters of Penrith. I am exceptionally proud of this restaurant and it truly feels great to be back home,” Schlebusch concluded.
