Asha Spacek Debuts as Fashion Event Writer: Interviews Emmy Award Winning MakeUp Artist Reggie Wells

asha with reggie wells at makeup show chicago-2011asha with reggie wells at makeup show chicago-2011PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 08, 2011 - Chicago, USA- Assignment One: The Makeup Show Chicago to interview celebrity makeup artist, and Emmy Award winner, Reggie Wells. Wells was promoting his makeup clockpots (compacts) originally created for Oprah in collaboration with makeup line, Hissyfit (hissyfit.com).

Being based in a city sometimes difficult to rid the arts from politics, some ignorant to Asha's 'brand efforts' thought she may have held a double position with FCM Magazine while founding UR SuperModels. As UR's lead manager and artistic director, she  submitted models and artists on a regular basis while occasionally posing as a creative confidant [quite normal] in sustaining a relationship with the digital and print fashion mag. It was the May 2011 invite that made what gossipers assumed, "official."

Speaking about interviewing Reggie Wells at The Makeup Show- a global event:

"Upon arrival, I was expecting a very formal display with an audience, a microphone, possible security, and ropes. Mister Wells was very hands on with make up consultations as women were lining up to purchase these easy to use carry friendly compacts," Asha explained. She went on noting, "I was honored that FCM recognized I could handle not only this assignment, but also the publishers' knowingly meticulous vision for its wide span readers."

While FCM and Asha Spacek share some similar fashion views, their paths end at selectively choosing events to cover and the sporadic opportunity for UR Artists at ursupermodels.com to be featured by the magazine's local, national, and international audience. Asha is honored to be a contributing freelance writer for FCM, and the option to submit models or in house artists, usually in styling, event photography, and makeup artistry.

Preparing for her second event story out in September, Asha was recently asked to fill in as lead fashion stylist for FCM's upcoming shoot with photographer Alessandro Mari coming from Italy, later this month. The early reviews of her August article, and official 'LIKE IT' from Reggie's publicist, may have had something to do with this upcoming opportunity.

Marshall Artist, H by Hudson and Carhartt Clothing Now Available @ Mainline Menswear

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 04, 2011 - It’s been busy behind the scenes at Mainline Menswear with a whole host of new brands being lined up for the autumn winter 2011 season to be added to the fantastic range already available on the independent designer menswear website. Three new brands have already been made available, with a further three or four due in the next few weeks, this is a busy time for the team at Mainline Menswear with over one hundred brands worth of stock to process and get online quickly. The new brands adding a slightly different edge and feel to the website are British brands Marshall Artist and H by Hudson and America’s Carhartt. This is just the start of the influx of new designer clothing talent and brands around and gives men around the UK something that little different to get their teeth into.

Marshall Artist has been slowly growing its ranges and going about its work quite quietly until 2011 when the brand has been featured here, there and everywhere appearing on blogs, forums and news releases, discussing and showcasing its very British feel to clothing, with the outdoor feel to this seasons clothing firmly shown in the Marshall artist gilets and coats that sit alongside the shirts, jumpers and chinos that have made the brand a success this summer. A few smaller designer menswear stores have had a brand for a while now, and are seeing amazing sales around their outerwear, so nautical jackets, winter coats and windbreakers, all featuring the Marshall Artist twist are firmly on the radar of trend setters around the UK.

H by Hudson is fairly well known around the UK for its superb selection of footwear and shoes. Adding a smarter footwear angle to the website expect to see some amazing leather brogues and boots this winter in a variety of shades of brown, black and grey, all featuring the H by Hudson craftsmanship that has made them a major player in the UK footwear industry. Also keep an eye out for Hudson Purified, a slightly more expensive collection made by the same people, yet this range offers a premium angle, and also carries with it a variety of colour and materials showing blues, light greys and vibram sole units. This brand is an all round great, and will be putting smarter shoes on the feet of Mainline Menswear visitors and fans.

Last but not least (for now) is American brand Carhartt. Known in America for its premium work wear and flame resistant clothing the fashion comes second for this brand, yet influences for the two cross over quite frequently. Established all the way back in 1855 Carhartt has a wealth of clothing and material knowledge which has put them in good stead in the UK for its designer clothing. Usually seen a quite a street and skater brand Carhartt is definitely one for the younger lads, and offers some amazing clothing, particularly the outerwear with a well know global brand name. Definitely one to watch for!

So there you have it, the first three new brands to appear on Mainline Menswear for autumn winter 2011. This is only the start of the influx, so keep an eye on the comings and goings on the website in the next month or two as there will be some superb designer brands to view and get into.

Remember: Mainline Menswear are Trend Setters...Not Followers!!!
